The Cobra Series is Castle’s next-generation ESC line, built on a powerful 32-bit processor platform. It enables advanced features that are updated for free through Castle Link software. Cobra ESCs feature CryoDrive™ technology for improved thermal efficiency and offer 8x more data logging capacity than Mamba X ESCs — including new metrics like motor electrical timing and G-forces.
Other Cobra-exclusive upgrades include:
20 samples/second data rate (vs. 10 on Mamba X)
Cyclical logging that never fills up and stops
Reverse-to-forward braking and reverse lockout timers
Hill Hold for crawling control on inclines

The aux wire lets you control one of eight ESC settings on-the-fly using your transmitter’s dial or toggle switch. You can dynamically adjust features like:

Cobra ESCs are compatible with a wide range of brushless and brushed motors — both Castle and non-Castle — as long as the motor's kv rating, size, and application are within the ESC’s specs.

Cobra 10 - sensored
The second offering in the new Cobra series family, this ESC boasts the same advanced features as the Cobra 8 in a smaller form factor. We’ve added a new feature, called Hill Hold, which is a game changer for rock crawling. Because of it’s incredible versatility, we’ve paired withe Cobra 10 with 16 different Castle 4-POLE sensored motors.
Cobra 8 - sensored
The Cobra 8 boasts a state-of-the-art 32-bit, dual-core processor, ushering in a new era of precision and performance. Its enhanced data logging capabilities offer extended recording times, faster sampling rates, and a wealth of data points, enabling users to delve deeper into their vehicle's performance than ever before. We’ve packaged the Cobra 8 with three different Castle 4 -POLE 12-SLOT motor options to overpower a wide range of 1:8th scale vehicles.
Cobra 5 - sensored
The third release of the Cobra series comes in the largest package to date. Rated up to 8s LiPo (33.6v) max, the Cobra 5 is designed for 1/5th scale vehicles up to 45lbs. It is offered in a combo with 3 different Castle 4-POLE 12-SLOT motor options.
Cobra 5 HV - sensored
Castle’s first ever 12s capable surface ESC is finally here! Rated up to 50.4 volts, this monster can power 1/4th and 1/5th scale vehicles up to 50lbs. When paired with the new 25 series motors, there is no RC vehicle that we can’t over power.
