How to troubleshoot why a Castle ESC will not turn on, light up, or beep. This video covers common reasons why an ESC may not turn on, ways to narrow down the cause of the problem, and solutions to common issues.

You must calibrate your Castle ESC so that it will operate effectively with your transmitter as individual transmitter signals for neutral, full throttle, and full brake vary. Anytime the ESC is powered up with a new transmitter or with different throttle channel settings, it will need to be calibrated to the transmitter’s throttle settings. The ESC may also need to be calibrated after updating to new software. If you are using a Futaba-made transmitter, you will need to set the transmitter’s throttle channel direction to the REVERSE (Rev) position. This is either an external micro switch on the transmitter or an option available within the computer programming of the transmitter. Please start by zeroing out any throttle trim that you may have set in your transmitter.

Learn to manually program your Castle ESC. Covers how to change settings in your ESC using just your radio. Applies to all Mamba and Sidewinder surface vehicle ESCs.

Castle Mamba X Series ESCs provide users with audible alerts that notify them of various issues or error conditions to help diagnose problems. This video contains an overview of all available alerts and what they mean. Unlike the "single beep" that chimes every ten seconds to let you know the ESC is powered, these alerts can protect your investment!
