NEW PRODUCT: MAMBA MICRO X2 EXTREME ESC
We are welcoming 2022, CASTLE’S 25th YEAR OF OVERPOWERING RC, with the release of the completely refreshed MAMBA MICRO X2. Did you know that the original “Mamba” was Castle’s acclaimed entrance into the surface segment of RC in 2004, and legend has it, there are still a few in operation to this day? The Mamba power systems made plug-and-play, bolt-in brushless power available to the 1/18th scale car and truck markets for the first time ever.
We are excited to announce the next generation of brushless power for 1:18th racers and off-road fans, as well as the scale community. The MAMBA MICRO X2 takes full advantage of the improvements in Castle’s software technology and thermal cooling capabilities with the addition of CRYO-DRIVE™ as well as a sleek new lightweight/heat conducting, anodized aluminum case. These improvements mean the Micro X2 can gear more aggressively, for more speed and harder/longer runs, at a higher input voltage! That’s right, the MAMBA MICRO X2 now accepts up to 4S LiPo operation!
Also new to the Micro X2 is the addition of data logging. You will be able to record real-time data such as motor RPM, battery ripple, ESC and motor temperature, throttle input, and more. Performance data from Data Logging allows users to make setup adjustments to maximize both performance and battery life.

The Mamba Micro X2 is a refresh of our popular 1:18 scale Mamba Micro X. This new ESC increases the maximum input voltage to 4s. We also added DATA LOGGING and our CRYO-DRIVE™ TECHNOLOGY; CryoDrive allows the ESC to run cooler and more efficiently at partial throttle. Like its predecessor, it boasts an 2 amp peak BEC,waterproof* and has SENSORED MOTOR SUPPORT. This is the perfect upgrade for 1:18th scale 2WD or 4WD vehicles up to 2.25 lbs. The Mamba Micro X also works well in some 1:10th scale crawlers for low speed operation (no rock racing/hill climbing). You can now purchase the Mamba Micro X2 Crawler Edition ESC paired with our Slate Crawler motors.
